Win a six-month holiday (and $50,000) in the Biggest, Baddest, Bucket List contest
Here's a fantastic travel contest for you:
Imagine winning a six-month holiday on six continents, in which you visit your choice of destinations (all expenses paid), and receive a grand prize of $50,000 (US) when you arrive home again.
It's called The Biggest, Baddest Bucket List contest and it's staged by the U.K. travel site, Mydestination.com, in partnership with Hotels.com, Travelex, and Viator.

To enter, you must shoot and deliver one (1) original video, no longer than 3 minutes, that passionately describes your Bucket List destination.
"We want you to take us on a tour of your destination in a short, unique
and super engaging video. Show us its best bits, show us its hidden
bits... heck, show us your favourite bits!
We want to know this destination inside out, and we want to feel
your passion for it. It doesn't matter if you live there or not, the
only requirement is that it's about a destination and why YOU love it so
much!"
You must also write an exciting travel tale that describes your most memorable travel experience. Perhaps you survived a crazy night of Russian roulette in a Vietnamese bar (whew, been there too, my friend)? Or maybe you've been chased by a badger riding a tiger riding a rhino?
Whatever it was, describe your best travel story in 200-500 words and include three original photos to accompany your tale.
Naturally, you'll be asked to upload your video and hype the hell out of it to your friends and followers on Facebook, Twitter, and such. Which can inspire or annoy them, depending on how clever and charming you no doubt are.

If you win the Biggest, Baddest Bucket List grand prize (and trust me, this IS a grand prize...I've never seen such a big prize purse), you'll see more things in six months than most people experience in a lifetime.
You won't always be swinging in hammocks, though. The contest organizers do expect a little work out of you. As the contest terms say, "the winner will be expected to produce at least one video, one blog post, multiple photographs per destination including social media commentary." Decent work if you can nab it!
The contest closes on May 7th, 2013 so start brainstorming your video script now.
Remember: you don't need to be a gifted director like Spielberg or Soderbergh. But you do need "bundles of passion, barrels of enthusiasm and more originality than Lady Gaga's wardrobe," says the contest page.
